Well, today I decided to find the best cheap cables on Amazon, and take advantage of my Amazon Prime membership, which brought me to RiteAV HDMI Cables. For comparison, here’s the type of review distribution you generally find with these cables:

Well, crap.  I don’t want that to happen to my TV!  I could just risk it and buy 3 just in case…  Or …

Now, admittedly, some of the longer cables don’t have any reviews whatsoever, and it’s only 7 reviews so far, but that’s not too bad.  I’m risking it and buying a 15-foot version of the HDMI 1.4 cable.

I think I found one today:

This laptop has great reviews, works well in Linux, and supports the CPU/RAM I have lying around. Now I just need to sell the remnants of Kent’s laptop on eBay.
