Compiling Stepmania in Ubuntu Feisty

OK – so I love DDR. I was trying to compile Stepmania this morning, and found that it has some issues. I found the answer to the first issue in this post, and found the answer to the second in this one. Apparently, there are some patches that have gone into 4.0 CVS that haven’t been put into the old source. Procedure Get the Stepmania Source and extract it somewhere. Dance Factory: The new DDR

Finally, somone has re-ignited the sensation that has died away in the past few years. We have seen Guitar Hero take the place of one of the greatest games ever made: DDR. DDR’s arcade presence has also suffered due to cheap knockoffs, ruining the experience by providing ‘extra functionality.’ Well, hopefully Dance Factory will bring back the spirit of the originals while allowing users to input their own music. I know I’m excited.
