&lt;p&gt;1st, what about the 2010 Chevy volt?  Would it be worth it for those who drive less than 40 miles a day (uses no gasoline, 75% of people)?&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;2nd, would the Chevy last long enough for it to be worth it?  Time will tell.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;3rd, If the electricity comes from a coal burning plant, does it matter if your car has &quot;0&quot; emissions while you drive?
I guess they can harness emissions better from a centralized plant if they decide to do so.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;4th, Due to the waste in the power grid, is this option worse than just using gas?&lt;/p&gt;
