They should fix this. It’s been there since 1954. It bothers me.

And it didn’t just all of a sudden happen all over the U.S. I started elementary school in ‘54 and for at least three years we kids were never quite sure which version to mumble. I know it was three years because we moved to California for that year and I distinctly recall confusion during the Pledge.
